Design the new Finance Guide 2017/18 Front Cover

Finance Booklet Competition 2017

Enter the student competition to design the front cover for the new finance guide 2017/2018.

The Finance Department is asking for students to submit their creative ideas for a new front cover for the Finance Guide. The winning design will feature on the foldout A5 booklet.

The Finance Guide is a crucial document, containing all the information students need to know concerning the payment of fees whilst at university. The guide includes information about self-paid tuition fees, sponsorships, outstanding debts, student loans and accommodation. It also includes FAQ and contact details for all departments involved with student finances.

The artwork will need to reflect both the University of Lincoln and the Finance Department.

The competition is open to all students of the University of Lincoln and entrants can utilise all styles and media, including illustration, photography, and typography and computer graphics. Please submit your final design in a .JPEG format.

The deadline for all entries is Friday 30th June 2017.

The 2017 Images of Research competition closes this Friday 10th March, dont miss your chance to enter! All the information you require regarding the competition is below. 

What is the Images of Research Competition?

The Images of Research Competition showcases the research taking place at the University of Lincoln. Participants are asked to submit a unique image, along with an abstract of 150 words describing how the image reflects their research.

Who can participate?

Any staff member or student can participate who is undertaking research at the University of Lincoln.

Prizes

The winning entries will be decided by a panel of Staff and Students representative of the University.
•Overall winner receives £100 amazon voucher
•People Choice Winner £100 amazon voucher
• All entries will be part of an exhibition where all images will be developed into posters for display

3 Minute Thesis Competition 2017

The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition final closing date is Friday 31st March, you still have time to enter.

What is the 3 Minute Thesis Competition?

3 Minute Thesis (3MT) is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland which challenges research students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in JUST three minutes in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. The competition is held in at least 170 universities across more than 17 countries worldwide.

How does it work?

Each university host their own competition with the winner going forward to represent their university in the National UK Online Semi-final in July 2017 hosted by Vitae. The top six finalists are then selected and go on to the UK final which takes place during the Vitae Researcher Development International Conference in September 2017.
